The ultimate feature piece for Port Wine connoisseurs
It is more than 160 years since Baron Joseph James Forrester created his iconic map of the River Douro and its Port-wine quintas. Inspired by that original work, English artist David Eley has created a 21st-century definition of the modern Douro spanning three years, the original of which measures some 10ft (3m) in length and comprising 130 illustrations depicting the principal winemaking quintas, flora, and fauna. This beautiful wine map, endorsed by UNESCO World Heritage, has now been published in two archival limited editions for framing and wall mounting: a full size Quinta Edition pigment print and this half-size Collector's Edition, now available at De Moura.
Printed on archival paper in Vienna; bespoke framed in solid oak and dry mounted, with UV, anti-reflective museum glass. Signed by the artist. THIS FRAMED EDITION MAY BE VIEWED IN OUR PRESTBURY STORE.
